spring reverb impulse responses
echochamber.ch now has a set of spring reverb impulse responses for download: <BR><A HREF="http://www.memi.de/echochamber/response ... ml">here's the link to the page</A> <BR><A HREF="http://www.memi.de/echochamber/response ... everbs.zip"> direkt link 1</A> <BR><A HREF="http://www.memi.de/echochamber/response ... eaktor.zip"> direkt link 2</A>
Those links dont seem to be working for me, they just redirect to "http://memi.de/spywareblocked.html" even when typed in manually.
Here are a few links, a couple of which i think ive posted in the software section also.
http://www.mimomusic.com/free.html
The "70s stereo" on there is my favourite so far its nice and splashy on a side shot (if thats the right term for stick hitting the side of the snare?)
http://noisevault.com/nv/index.php?opti ... cat&cat=23
http://www.thesynthi.de/index.php?/arch ... rb-IR.html
there is an ok one there, not as splashy and the wav file it quite short so ends abruptly. Ive found it possible to copy and paste the laste bit of the file and adjust the volume in Audacity to make a longer wav file. (sounds better than timestretching the whole thing to me)
http://www.xs4all.nl/~fokkie/IR.htm
Ive not tried thoes ones yet because it requires a special program "stuffit expander" to unzip them.
http://irlibrary.org/index.php?cat=spring
Ive just found that site and not tried any of them yet, but there is a big selection.

If Interruptors links dont work for other people, go to http://echochamber.ch/ then click Ressourcen
(on the left hand menu) then Impulse Responses, and scroll down to find the spring reverb

Ive been thinking, could I create a impulse response from a sample lifted from a track mixed at tubbys? I tried it the other day with the sample posted in this thread http://www.interruptor.ch/Php5/dubboard ... e98b915597 and it sounded ok (with a bit of eqing- big low cut) but the sample is just too short. Stretching it or trying other methods to lengthen it dont sound very good. Can anyone suggest other tracks wich have a distinct use of tubbys reverb which could be sampled as a IR?
