First post here - like to draw your attention to the above unit -its digital, it uses modelled algorithms and its not cheap, but it is the best hardware simulation of tape echo I have used. Attention to detail is awesome - tape age, crinkle, wow and flutter and single, movable and multihead models. Can go 100% wet for aux use and has a switchable spring verb model thrown in for good measure.
Thoroughly recommended and no head cleaning!
