Space echoes TAPES

whazzup everyone!!!

I have a question about space echoes:

space echoes in brazil are rare and VEEEERY expansive...
but ive recently found one for a nice price but
i DOES NOT HAVE TAPE!!

ive read the space echo article on wikipedia
on it says that space echoes use 1/4 inch tapes...
is that the same tape used on reel to reel recorders?like the akai 4000????

plz help!

I never had to do it myself but people say the lubricated tape found in 8-track cartridges (the ones that were used in car stereos) work fine.

this one that this guys is trying to sell me is...do I have to get a 110w converter?
