FOSTEX 3180 question

hi i have a fostex 3180 spring reverb and i have a question about putting it in my rack. i have a rack that's set at an angle, would placing the fostex in it ruin the springs over time? should it be kept at a straight up and down 90 degrees?

Don't worry this should really not be any problem.

I once found out that the reverb time of a spring reverb can be increased if the springs are installed vertically. In the case of the 3180 this would mean tilting the box to the right or to the left. The device then stands on it's sideplate.
