What delay for live dubbing?

what about delays when playing live? .... how can i put delay on my guitar when playing live? are there any pedals, any effects? what can i do??

theres plenty of options: 1). go vintage ; space echo , stage echo , copicat , echorec etc 2). get a delay modelling unit, eg Line 6 delay, this copies the sound of vintage equipment 3). get some guitar pedals eg boss etc (very mediocre) or if you want a typical tape sound try the akai headrush 4).be smart and get a lexicon vortex cause they are one of the coolest things iv ever used ;)

some info on the vortex: The "Vortex" is a discontinued digital effects processor from Lexikon which some people highly appreciate. It can generate echo (loops), phase, flange, chorus, tremelo, pan and vibrato in different combinatons. The most outstanding feature is that you can morph seamlessly between 2 complete set of parameters using a foot pedal. This way extraordinary effects sounds can be generated. The programming of the module seems to pretty complicated though.. once youve read the manual and the notes available at andy butlers site , its not so difficult to program, but you really need an expression pedal and a momentary footswitch and a latching footswitch in order to control it entirely hands free. unlike some other digital delays , theres no messing about with milliseconds and calculators , you like a patch , want to get the echos in time with the music? you can tap the tempo on the footswitch and it will work it out automatically !
