Could anyone recommend a VST reverb?

As you've probably seen there's a lot of choices out there.
It also depends on what your budget is.

For convolution Altiverb seems the best to me, but there are good cheaper convolution alternatives.

Algorithmic:
I very much like Breverb and it seems to work well for dub:

The UAD plate is very nice (but you need a UAD card).
Many people regard the VSS3 for the TC Powercore as one of the best software reverbs there is (although I find the TC reverbs a bit clean sounding for my purposes), but you need a Powercore to run it.

For dub spring reverb can be useful and there are a few plugins available.

I bought the GSi Spring Reverb Type4 and do like it.

It may be not 100% authentic but it's definitely fun to use with it's many parameters.

Generally if realism is your goal convolution reverbs are seen as a good solution. I found the voxengo convolution reverb very useful:

I have to admit though that my knowledge on this is not up to date. Probably in the meantime there would be better alternatives.
