I may have a chance to get one of these through a friend of a relative. Anyone know anything about them? I've read about the -201 on this site and others, and even later models, but not the 101. Is it substantially inferior to the 201? Thanks, and peace to all. Dan

check these reviews: reviews @ harmony central
the re-201 additionally has a built-in spring reverb which is very handy to give the echoes more depth.
the re-301 has the spring, an additional subtle chorus effect and a special "sound on sound" feature which is mostly useful for "performing loop musicians".

Interruptor: thanks so much for the info! The bad news is I actually saw the unit, and it looked like it was in awful condition. Somebody must have spilled some liquid on the face years ago and there was some kind of corrosion (?) which was never cleaned-up/repaired and had spread. Long story short: not a good buy (plus, he wanted $350 US!). Thanks again for your answer and for running this wonderful site. Dan
