alright there, does anybody know the parts (oscillators, filters) - what effects what etc so i could try and recreate a siren with a software synth? once done id happily upload a sample pack. cheers, dave

Hi
What type of siren do you want to emulate? Are you talking about a dub siren like the one I created over here?

Hi
It's really no rocket science.
- Pick an oscillator (saw or square) or a sample playing oscillator loaded with an appropriate waveform (if you got some siren samples with a timbre you like)
- plug a low pass filter after it
- use an lfo (low frequency oscillator) to modulate the pitch of the oscillator
That's it.
- For more dub flavour run the thing through a delay.
Breaking it down into more detail is not possible without knowing the specifics of the software synth you are using.
Hope this helps..
