Hey, does anyone know if there's any special thing I'm going to have to do to hook up a mixer to an otari mx5050? The otari has xlr in's.....So if I'm going from 1/4" out of the mixer into the xlr of the reel to reel, what do I need besides a 1/4" to xlr snake. Is it a di box that I need? Thanks!

you going to need some kind of pre-amp between the passive outs from the mixer and the otari. or get a mixer that has +4dvm direct outs, i think. i discovered rather frustratingly that the otari inputs seem to be VERY passive!
