Insert a speaker on a piece of metal( 50cm/50cm) Amp your speaker and send the sound to reverberate,and mic it ..... Your can adjust rev time :low the vibrations with a t-shirt or your own system The system must be in the air fixed with ropes... simple isn it? | ||

Yes i found in grand father house a little 10w or 20w tube amp ,i'didn't know what to do with it... It can really works well with any instru,it sounds not like a spring reverb,sometimes more real.. I enjoy doing stuff like that:fuck capitalism when it's possible,fuck lexicon!(;-) | ||

heh heh, mad  yeah f*k'em ...lol.... actually, not as funny ... but on serious part of it, even if you got the whole rack of lexicon, tc-electronics ..you name it.... to experiment with this sort of 'effects' is so much fun...and the most buty of it is that you get some ABSOLUTELY one of a'kind effect, which you can't buy for all the cash in the world. It makes you feel good as well ...'cos you are doing something 'special' sort of speak I have interesting simple device to share too ..heh heh. You need two speakers thou.. and better with somewhat nice bass (read pressure). And you need a 2lb(10oz) empty metal coffe-can (It's important to use a light weight can, so it's bouncin' and easy to get vibrated). I've used my mini-stereo system (jvc small speakers, but with nice bass, the system also has aux input, so I didn't need extra amp). The "construction" is this: place empty metal can on a side (like a kik-drum) right in between two speakers (speakers facing each other, and the can in between them), get speakers very close to the can (they may even touch the can, but it depends). Now you need a mic stand/holder, so you can place the mic inside of the can at the open end, but it does not touch the can's walls. It's done I was using this thing on drum track, sending snare shots together with kik-drum. You send to the amp/stere-system aux in, and return to the mix from mic. It sure would be nice to have eq control on send, because the actuall effect is allot depended on what's going through the speaker. Well, sure if you are using stereo-system and it has its own equalizer, then you can control the sound from there. As you can guess the whole thig is about speakers vibrating the can plus actuall sound which get "mad" when mic pickin' it up' from inside the can. The sound texture which you get back to mixer from mic depends on the whole banch of factors, so you just need to experiment, including actually volume, where do you place mic, how close speakes to the can etc... maybe even coffe brand may effect it I used MaxwellHouse regular... that's what I drink... /respects, /Mike Zee aka Dr. ZEE | ||

heh heh, lol. Can't do diz' ..'cos I'm a real coffe addict (especially when working in studio)... and funny or not, I simply can not stand any other brand, especially if it has any special flavor ;) ..yeeeek also, btw, coffe cans are great percussion instruments... different size, different pitch I actually did use them as percussion extra hits on couple of tracks in the past.
