Hi selectasky

I use a Doepfer pocket control.
http://www.doepfer.de/pc.htm
Unfortunately these are not produced anymore and therefore hard to get.

Other dubbers around here are successfully using Behringer controllers:
See this thread:

dub siren v1.2 vs v1.3

Post by musicrollercoaster » Sat Jul 18, 2009 12:06 pm

hi, just tested the 2 versions
I work with steinberg nuendo 3 and behringer BCR2000

I creat 2 midi tracks
miditrack1: in:BCR2000 out:VSTdubsiren
miditrack2: in:VSTdubsiren out:BCR2000
(that's because I want a direct mirror of all parameters to my bcr2000 when I change programs)

v1.2
I use my BCR to ProgChange but I don't see the ProgramChange in Nuendo nor in the VST (I mean the Name Value), and the parameters don't change. Though I have all parameters mirrored in my BCR2000, so I can edit LIVE without problems of reseting knobs and switches.

v1.3
I use my BCR to ProgChange and I see the ProgramChange in Nuendo and the VST (I mean the Name Value again), AND the parameters change ok. BUT this time none of the parameters mirrors back to my BCR.

to end, in both versions the CC32 (noise) doesn't respond, when everyelse parameter does.

I'd be glad to see your wonderful sounding VST working full!
I'm going ot check if it's working ok with Ableton Live and let you know

smiles from Greece :)

ableton tested...

Post by musicrollercoaster » Sat Jul 18, 2009 1:31 pm

just got back from th ableton test
it's exactly the same situation , regarding at least the midi signal outputs
v1.2 sends out midi to my BCR succesfuly, while v1.3 won't send midi at all.
and the program change names ... exactly the same!
that's for now

error

Post by Madman900 » Sun May 20, 2012 12:25 pm

Hey, I am really looking forward to using this plug in, but it's not working for me... I downloaded v1.3, and am trying to run it through Ableton Live 8, but every time I try to load the plug in I get the following error message:

"Can't load module. 'KDL Volts2Float'"

Do you know what's wrong? Have I done something wrong??

- Rebuilt with the current version of Synthedit.

Dub siren 1.3 &1.4

Post by dub-a-dikt » Fri Dec 26, 2014 10:50 am

Greetings

Recently i've came accross this plug-in ... wonderful emulation, thanks for releasing it for free.
However, i have a problem with it : i have no delay effect on it .. As you explained, i simply extracted the .rar archive to my VST plug in folder, i tried both 1.3 and 1.4 dub siren vst but the delay is off .. Any tips/suggestion ? Thank you

hi dub-a-dikt..
Most likely you'll be able to solve the problem using these instructions.

Upon starting the plug-in for the first time a number of files are automatically
extracted to your VST folder. On Windows versions from VISTA
onwards by default plug-ins are not allowed to write files to your
hard drive. You can fix this issue by changing the
write permissions for your VST folder as follows:
• Use Windows Explorer to browse to your VST Plugins folder.
• Right-click the folder – 'Properties'
• Choose 'Security' tab.
• Click 'Edit' button (You may need to click a UAC prompt).
• Select user name "Users".
• Tick options Allow 'Write' and 'Modify'.
• To finish Select 'OK' to close the two dialog boxes.

Does that help?
