does anyone know of any VST plugin that is similar to logic's tape delay. so far nothing relay compares at all. Something that emulates the Roland Space Echo is what I'm really after. |

check the PSP84. I use real tape delay so there is no real need for emulation in my case, but a friend of mine likes it a lot. Once I tried out the demo version and found it rather confusing. in fact this plug has far more possibilities than the logic audio tape delay, therefore you really need to read the manual! |

damn, this looks interesting - the PROBLEM thou - price - $149 - just for the 'plug' gRRRRRRRRRR Real space echo may run over $300 on ebay.com - still I would save money to get a real machine. Also you can find other machine, like Univox-unit, I've seen them pretty cheap (under $100), or Echoplex (but this isn't cheap, unless in non-working condition). I would buy plugin for under $30 ..hehe - maybe.... I think the way to go is to get some used reel-to-reel cheap, you can find some "ugly" three-head machine for under $100 and use your creative mind and hands to turn into tape-delay unit. /respects /Mike Zee |

Karlette comes free with cubase, not the best, but usable when you get to know it, it is a little hard to contoll also, I often had to launch several instances of the plug at the same time to achieve the result I whanted, a result I thought would be possible with only one instance due to multi-tab but no matter how much i finetune parameters I get better results using several parralel lines Ohmforce made a "tape-delay" also,... these folks are real mad :-) and very proffesionel HM |

well guys, I've checked the psp84,karlette,ohmforce and tons of other plugins. they are all absolute shit. The logic audio tape delay is the *KING* of all software delay units. If you haven't checked out logic audio's tape delay, you don't know what your missing.Nothing even comes close. The only downside is that you'll have to learn logic audio. And it's got a pretty steep learning curve. |

I switched to sx from logic and I miss this tape delay a lot. I already tested PSP, ohmforce..., and I agree with you. if you find a vst close to the logic audio tape delay, please share the info ! z |
